This 15-inch-square green base plate provides a building surface for any DUPLO set. It is made of the same sturdy, impact-resistant plastic as other DUPLO toys, and has smooth, rounded edges. DUPLO sets are designed for use by toddlers (ages 18 months to 5 years), and have bigger pieces and more rounded shapes than traditional LEGO pieces, so they can accommodate the needs of younger users. Disclosure: I'm a 49-year-old case of arrested development who used to build models of baseball stadiums with Legos when I was a kid, and I wanted to do it again. I bought this piece thinking it was the same green building plate I used to use when I was young. IT IS NOT. For anyone who thinks about buying this believing the pegs are standard Lego size, they are far too large and, as such, useless.
This might be a great piece for use with large Lego pieces, but for my purposes, I just blew $10. Buyer beware.

When shopping for legos there are many to choose from. The building plates are a hit, but this one is for larger legos, not tiny legos, as my five-year-old fondly calls them. Pay close attend to detail if you are looking for a specific size. : )

I was thinking all stuff in this toy's picture would be included, when I found out this was not true only two hours after I placed the order, I tried to change/cancel the order, but I was told I could not cancel/change this item because it is being prepared for shipping.

My 2 year-old son liked dumping his Mega Blocks out of the bag, then putting them back, but I couldn't seem to get him interested in stacking them. This mat did the trick! Now we spend a lot of time making "towers" together. When I ask him if he wants to build something, he immediately runs to get his bag of blocks and this mat. I highly recommend it. And, even though it's made by Lego, it does fit the Mega Blocks.
